ILM Programme

Here at Tranmere Rovers we work a long side the Wirral Council to employ NEET (not in education, employment or training) young people, as part of their Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) scheme. The scheme offers hands on paid work experience in a professional environment for 6 months for people aged between 16 – 29.

So far at Tranmere Rovers we have taken on 17 people through the scheme, 4 of which have gained full time employment with ourselves and 12 who have gained employment elsewhere.

For further information on job opportunities through the ILM scheme please keep an eye out on our club site as this is updated with all our latest vacancies.

Rob McNee

“From my experience, the ILM gave me an alternative to university and a pathway to a career that I wanted to do and ultimately a dream job for me at the moment. The ILM Programme allowed me to gain vocational experience in the industry I wanted to go into as well as the opportunity to develop my social skills and confidence”

Rob joined us at Tranmere Rovers back in 2016 as a marketing officer, after 6 months he was given a permanent position with the marketing team and has since been promoted to the Marketing and Communications Assistant.
